Maine does not have standards for library collections but standards from other states, such as South Carolina, can provide insight into the current state of our collection. While we continue to improve our statistics each year, our collection remains in need of significant updating.

READING &

Books, Bytes &
BAGELS
The library and instructional technology team hosted the 3rd annual Books, Bytes and Bagels professional development event. Teachers tried 3D printing and virtual reality!
Discovering Water
Thanks to dedicated WHS students, faculty and staff at the Portland Water District, Discovering Water is now an interactive iBook available through the iBook Store on Apple products or at discoveringwater.org.

IBOOK

BOOK
CLUB
The library hosted both student and faculty book clubs this year. We took a trip with the students to see the movie Ready Player One after reading the novel and showed the faculty The Darkest Hour after reading Churchill and Orwell.
